How do I track a PSA submission?

Submissions · 2:54 · Updated Oct 26, 2026

Group the cards for one box into a buying session, pick a grading level, and hit Ship to PSA once the box is in the mail. You still mail it yourself. When PSA moves an order, download its file from PSA and bring it in with Import to update the step, the certs and the grades.

Your queue

0:02Your three cards from the Optimizer land here, in the queue. So does any card you add from a card page, your Watchlist, or Search. The Optimizer works from your Watchlist, so save the cards you're thinking of grading there first. On a phone, you'll find Submissions under More.

What GemEdge tracks

0:23You still mail the box to PSA yourself. GemEdge keeps track of the costs, and of the status and grades you bring in from PSA.

Each card's numbers

0:34Each card shows its grading level and what you paid. This arrow opens the numbers for one card: what it costs you all in, and what you'd make if it comes back a ten or a nine.

Buying sessions

0:47Cards that go in the same box belong in a buying session. Hit Select, tick them, and move them to a new session, or one you already have. Give it a name you'll remember, like the card show you bought them at.

Pick a level for the session

1:02Now each card's cost includes its share of PSA's return shipping. This arrow lays the grading levels side by side, with what you'd net if they all come back tens, or all nines. Pick one and apply it to the whole session. You can still set one card's level on its own. Each level goes to PSA as its own submission, with its own return fee.

Ship to PSA

1:29When the box is in the mail, hit Ship to PSA. Check the split by level and the ship date, add a tracking number if you have one, then confirm. That marks it shipped here. GemEdge doesn't send anything to PSA.

Orders

1:47Each level you ship becomes its own order. Orders shows which step it's at with PSA. But nothing here moves on its own.

Import order updates

1:58When PSA tells you an order moved, download your orders file from PSA and bring it in with Import. Every order jumps to its latest step. The Import screen shows where to find each file on PSA's site.

Certs and grades

2:15For the cards in one order, download that order's own file and import it too. PSA offers it once they've identified your cards. It adds each card's cert number. Import it again after grading, and the grades come in.

Archive and history

2:32Finished orders go to the Archive. And if you've sent cards to PSA before, the same Import brings that history in.
